Dr. Krista Zeidan was born in upstate New York, but moved North of the boarder as a child and was raised in Ottawa, Canada. Optometry was always Dr. Zeidan’s calling; since she was a young girl she knew she wanted to help people with their vision. Her educational journey began in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she completed her Undergraduate degree in Biology. She then pursued a Master’s Degree in Experimental Surgery at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Her research was focused on reproduction and infertility, and after finishing her Master’s degree she worked as an Assistant Researcher at the Glen Hospital in Montreal.
She completed her doctorate of Optometry in Boston at the New England College of Optometry. Her internships took her from coast to coast, and overseas. Spanning from the VA Hospital in Portland OR, Midwest Eye Professionals in Chicago, and Lynn Community Health Center in MA. The most memorable internship was when she travelled to Wenzhou, China and spent three months at the Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University.
Travel, adventure, and the outdoors fill up the rest of Dr. Zeidan’s time when she is not examining eyes. She enjoys providing general eye care, contact lens fittings and the treatment of ocular disease.
