Vision Care FAQs

Do I need an appointment to pick out glasses/order contacts?

You do not need an appointment to pick out glasses or to order your contact lenses. Our Opticians are happy to help you anytime Monday – Friday  8:30am – 5:30pm.

How long will my visit take?

Depending on the reason for your visit, it could last anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour. Plan to be here for at least 1 hour, if you are having an eye exam and planning to pick out some amazing glasses!

I don’t have any insurance, what can you do for me?

No Insurance? No Problem!        We take pride in working with you to get the best value here at Eye See Vision Care. We hold various promotions and deals throughout the year and unlike other box store “sales” our sales will save you money. Please check our Facebook page, website, or call the office to find out what promo we are having at any given time.

Do you take my insurance?

We are providers for many medical insurance plans. To be sure, we recommend that the insurance holder call member services on your identification card to determine eligibility and benefits (ie. exam coverage, eyeglass/contact lens coverage, etc.)

What is the benefit of a “no-line” progressive bifocal over a traditional “line” bifocal?

Progressive multifocals are a completely different way to help you see clearly at all distances. Unlike traditional lined bifocals that have only two specific areas to see through (one for distance and one for near). Progressive lenses are designed with many different levels of power allowing your eyes to focus on objects as close as ten inches to as far as distant signs and everywhere in between.

Does my eyeglass and/or contact lens prescription expire?

State law requires doctors to determine an expiration date for all written prescriptions. This would include eyeglasses and contact lenses as well as medications. The expiration date is determined first by state law, then by the individual needs of the patient which are determined by the doctor. In general, eyeglass prescriptions are valid for two years and contact lenses are valid for one year in the State of NH, unless your medical diagnosis calls for the doctor to alter the expiration date to ensure proper medical care.

When will my glasses be ready?

If your glasses are made by Eye See Vision Care directly, your glasses should be ready in anywhere from one hour to five business days (depending on the complexity of your order/prescription). Sometimes your insurance company may require us to use their optical lab. In these cases, the insurance companies lab will dictate the turnaround time you should expect.

How much will my eyeglasses cost?

There are many factors in determining the final cost of your glasses. It is best to work with one of our Opticians to go over your needs, wants and budget to find the perfect pair of eyeglasses for you.
